One of Australia’s most established and fastest growing federal government departments is seeking **several** skilled **Geospatial Support Officers **to join their Dynamic team in **Canberra, ACT**. The successful **Geospatial Support Officers **will be responsible for providing support and advice to staff on geospatial software and tools within the department. The successful **Geospatial Support Officers **will secure an initial 12 month contract, with 1 x 12 month extension partnered with generous hourly rates.

The successful **Geospatial Support Officers **will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Providing technical support and advice to users on geospatial software (desktop and server based), tools and platforms,
- Supporting migrating existing user content between AGOL accounts.
- Managing and maintaining enterprise geospatial platforms (ArcGIS Online & ArcGIS Enterprise) including implementing platform governance and procedures.
- Delivering geospatial technology and best practice advice to business areas including providing spatial data and platform architectural advice.
- Liaising with spatial vendors to elevate spatial platform and user queries and issues
- Coordinate geospatial software packaging with IT and business area testers.

The successful **Geospatial Support Officers **must have experience in the following:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a **Geospatial Support Officer **with** **experience with ITIL or client support practices would be advantageous
- Demonstrated experience with Esri software suite, particularly ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL) or ArcGIS Enterprise
- Strong ability to upskill staff in use and management of AGOL/ArcGIS Enterprise and desktop software
- Knowledge of geospatial data management best practice and advice
- Experience with python, ENVI, FME, QGIS is highly desirable
