**The Role**
Our client is currently looking for an experienced and energetic hands-on Production Manager to lead all production activities. As the Production Manager, you will work autonomously across the entire site and be the go-to for all issues within their team. You will need to be flexible in attending to operational matters for the business. The Production Manager’s core responsibilities will include driving manufacturing standards and processes, increasing capability, productivity and product quality.

It is your responsibility to lead a direct team of 3 consisting of Area Supervisors, followed by Team Leaders and production staff totalling 100+ across the site.

Culturally, you will bring passion, hunger and enthusiasm with a focus on staff and team development, empowerment and staff engagement. You will be required to lead with a hands-on style, and be prepared to work alongside the team at all levels to gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end operations in order to build principles and standards for the team. This will also best equip you to engage, motivate and up-skill the production team long term.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary Qualified in Food Science, Manufacturing or similar
- Have direct experience working within a medium to large scale food manufacturing plant, preferably in a high-care, chilled food product environment.
- Bring an understanding of all operational functions including Safety, Production, OH&S and performance management.
- Capable of creation of procedures and standards of the staff for training, induction and up-skilling.
- Be resilient & agile to be able to handle the unpredictable day-to-day nature that the operation can present.
- Possess strengths across collaboration with production, influencing, continuous improvement and understand the pace and quality expectations working within the fast-moving high-care food manufacturing industry.
- Be a hands-on leader and possess excellent communication skills.
