QA Manager

Chef Fresh is the first Coles' owned ready made meals facility. Based at Bankmeadow, our new site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met.

Duties
- Ensure the quality and technical aspects of the site are in-line with the Chef Fresh Coles Banksmeadows (CFCB) Quality Management System, legal requirements and CFMSR standards whilst driving a TQM culture.
- To coach the site to produce safe, quality product that meets the legal requirements & CFCB, CFMSR standards. This includes NSW authority, change management, & QA projects to CFMSR requirements.
- Support the CFCB colleagues to improve food safety and quality and when necessary investigate incidents to drive continuous improvements regarding technical & Quality areas.
- With the hygiene team drive the highest CFMSR Blue standards to support site standards.
- Promote a quality and food safety culture

Essential
- Significant experience in leading diverse teams in a challenging FMCG/Manufacturing (short shelf life) environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead effective rapid positive change in a Manufacturing/ FMCG environment.
- Patience, resilience and tenacity to face the challenges of a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Experience in generating change through a participative team / consultative approach.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and implement Technical & Quality Strategy and Teams Plans.

Desirable
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in same/similar role ideally in a FMCG environment.
- Technical science degree.
- Strong process and commercial acumen
