Our client is a market leader in the assurance of built environment. They operate nationally providing inspections, sampling and performance-rating of properties for office, retail, healthcare, education and industrial clients. They pride themselves on their global concern for sustainability and leading a company where their employees find meaningful work.
They are looking for a **Compliance Officer** to join their nationally growing team based in **West Leederville**.
**About The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work alongside and support their national team of 15 Environmental Consultants. You will be responsible for all compliance related to Work Health and Safety, the Quality Management System and other relevant company policies. Additionally, you will assist the part-time Administrator with administrative duties to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of their office in West Leederville.
Some other tasks you will be responsible for are:
- Reviewing and updating company work health and safety (WHS) manuals, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining updated training records
- Reporting and recording incidents to state-based legislation regulatory requirements
- Assisting in developing and implementing internal audits against Standards
- Maintaining Document Management System
- Assisting with audit activities as required by State and Federal Government Departments
- Agenda preparation and minute taking
- Coordinating purchase orders and processing invoices
- Office inventory management
- Ad-hoc administration duties as required
This role offers stable working hours and an attractive remuneration package.
**About You**:
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Relevant WHS and /or OHS certification or experience
- Understanding of state and federal WHS legislation
