**Health Information Manager / Clinical Coding Auditor**

**We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Health Information Manager/ Clinical Coding Auditor to join our dedicated team on a Full-Time basis.**

**About the Role**

This role supports the crucial functions of clinical coding, coding quality improvement and accurate hospital reimbursement. You will be responsible for reviewing clinical coding for accuracy, identifying education opportunities and implementing quality improvement initiatives. You will also support the efficient and accurate flow of information between Greenslopes Private Hospital, Ramsay Billing Teams, Payor Relations and other key external stakeholders. Reporting to the Clinical Coding Supervisor, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Greenslopes Private Hospital coding team to support key department functions.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced clinical coder with highly developed interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. You will be a self-motivated with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills. Knowledge and experience of private hospital billing is desirable but not essential.

**_ Essential _**
- Qualifications: Completion of Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent tertiary qualification); or completion of Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Clinical Coding Course (or equivalent qualification)
- Eligible for full or senior associate membership to HIMAA
- Minimum 2 years clinical coding experience in a tertiary hospital utilising ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS 12th Editions
- Sound knowledge of AR-DRGs, case mix funding and experience with private hospital billing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with all other standard Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to systematically analyse problems or queries, draw relevant conclusions and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

**_Desirable _**
- Experience in Clinical Coding Auditing and AR-DRG Optimisation
- Experience in delivering clinical coding feedback and targeted education

**Requirements**:
