**About the Role**

As an Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) you will focus on the Recovery and Return To Work (RTW) aspect of high-risk workers compensation claims while liability is pending. The EIS will provide holistic support, coaching and guidance to stakeholders with the aim of facilitating an early, safe and sustainable return to work for injured workers. Through Early Intervention and stakeholder collaboration, you will play a critical role in setting claims up with a person-centered strategy to overcome barriers to achieve exceptional outcomes and support ongoing claims team management.

In this customer-facing position, you will be at the forefront of delivering excellent customer service via phone to a diverse range of stakeholders. Occasionally, you may also be required to travel to employer work sites and participate in site claim reviews.

**How you'll make an impact**
**You will be successful in your role and add value to Gallagher Bassett through**:

- Identifying high-risk claims that will benefit from early intervention and engagement
- Communicating strategically with all stakeholders. This includes upfront expectation setting and education regarding return to work
- Identifying and referring claims to appropriate supports such as Mobile Case Management, Mental health consultants and Occupational Rehabilitation.
- Utilising Worker’s Compensation knowledge and skills in injury management in conjunction with exceptional stakeholder management skills to achieve optimal service and return to work outcomes
- Providing detailed handover to claims team to ensure seamless continuation of claim strategy.
- Supporting claims teams through the GB Early Intervention (EI) program by utilising your coaching, mentoring and training expertise.

**About you**
**What will you need to be successful in this position?**
- Claims/case management experience within Workers Compensation industry
- Knowledge of and experience in managing complex claims, and the ability to understand or read complex claims indicators
- An understanding of types of injuries, and how they impact Return to Work outcomes
- Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
