An exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant to join the company during an important growth phase. We are medium scale company, who looks for new opportunities.

Yes Hospitality has been in the business from 2011.The assistant accountant will be based in Melbourne and responsible for Yes Hospitality Group and Yes Care Australia and is responsible for supporting the accounts and payroll function of the company as well as supporting the project teams in the company.

**Duties will include, but not limited to**:

- Assist the accounts department in payroll
- Process bills for payment
- Maintain files and electronic records
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
- Update and maintain accounts database
- Track and resolve accounting problems and discrepancies as needed
- Aid accounting staff and department with day-to-day accounting duties
- Receive and process invoices and billing statements
- Track payments and ensure accuracy of paid accounts
- Assist with general accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Contact clients and vendors as necessary to ensure accurate and on-time payments
- Prepare written reports for delivery to senior-level managers
- Utilize spreadsheets and database tools to assist in financial record keeping

**Skills required**:

- 2 years of previous accounting experience
- Xero experience
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize industry-specific accounting tools
- Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask across different types of accounting-related projects
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Knowledge of integrated accounting software
- Calm under pressure
- Available to work full-time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Docklands, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounts: 2 years (required)

- Australia (required)
