**Disability Support Worker**

As a Disability Support Worker with Trusted Care Partners, you will join a team of other carers, responsible for caring and supporting people with disabilities in the home, residential establishments etc. You will also provide companionship and emotional support, and when possible, promote independence and community participation.

We have shifts in several locations **Fitzroy**, **Fitzroy North, Abbotsford, Collingwood, Carlton North and North Richmond and Brunswick**

A day in the life as a Disability Support Worker with Trusted Care Partners may see you support our clients with.
- Personal Care
- Manual Handling (including the use of a hoist)
- Medication Support
- Transportation to appointments

**What we're looking for**

As a patient, flexible and understanding individual with a supportive and caring nature, ideally with experience within the disability or health care sectors, you’ll have.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live dignified lives.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to accept responsibility.
- Able to work as part of a team, cope with the physical demands of the job, and perform domestic duties efficiently.

**Skills, Experience, and Checks**
- Cert III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability
- Nursing background is preferable
- Medication training (for some clients)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Working with Children Check (Victoria)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- 3 COVID-19 vaccinations
- Valid driver’s licence with access to comprehensively insured vehicle
- Availability to work across a 7-day roster, 8am to 8pm
- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours (for some clients)
