In support of the growing needs of our diverse local community, **Chestnut Gardens**, Doveton, is home to 100 high care residents and utilises the latest in care and design philosophies. Chestnut Gardens is built as a series of houses, each with its own decor.
Our Chestnut Gardens Residential Care Team work across ‘The Avenue’ and/ or ‘The Boulevard’, working with residents living with chronic physical and/ or mental health care conditions. To ensure the best care, those that live at Chestnut Gardens work in collaboration with a skilled nursing group in developing person-centred care.
Chestnut Gardens is seeking a **Facility Manager** wishing to work with an established team to continuously improve the lives of those living in the home. As a home, we are seeking a **Facility Manager (FM)** who has experience in the clinical development of staff, improving residents experience and open to innovative and collaborative ideas.
**A Day in the Life**
Based at Chestnut Gardens, the Facility Manager is a role model for the philosophy, safe and effective person-centred care for residents and families. While providing outstanding and effective leadership of the team, this unique role will, at the same time, utilise your nursing experience to provide supportive and individualised care to the residents. With your extensive aged care knowledge and passion for service delivery you will facilitate best outcomes for our residents and set the direction of the homes. This is a full-time ongoing opportunity, working Monday to Friday.
Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Ensuring facility compliance with the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Age Care Quality Standards
- Ensuring successful outcomes relating to Age Care Quality Agency visits and accreditation
- Managing and operating within budget and financial requirements
- Incidents are reviewed and investigated within timeframes
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders
- Site emergency management
- Excellence in Customer Service
**What You Bring**:
You are an experienced Facility Manager or Nurse Manager ready to make the move into facility management. Either way you are a leader who is flexible and dynamic and has the ability to lead and influence their team whilst bringing management and leadership skills to the team and facility. You are a people person and recognise the importance of good leadership, motivating others, building the right culture, and seeking improvements.
You bring your experience working in aged care management and a solid understanding of the changing landscape within residential aged care. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast faced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of care to all residents. You are an advocate for Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

**What you need**:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Post graduate qualifications in leadership/management and/or aged care
- Demonstrated leadership / management experience
- Australian working rights.
