The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the Role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team, providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Foot & vehicle patrols, monitor and use of CCTV and radio communications systems
- Respond to incidents and perform fire warden duties
- Liaise with police and emergency response services
- Escort staff and customers where required
- Perform concierge duties
- Maintain logs and records of occurrences, completing necessary paperwork
- Respond professionally, courteously, and promptly to all customer enquiries

Skills & Experience
- Current QLD Security Licence - unarmed, crowd control and monitoring
- Completed a Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current open driver licence
- Intermediate computer skills
- Have unrestricted availability to work a 24/7 roster
