In this rewarding role you will work in a team environment where every day will be different. With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment.

We are looking to hire two casual employees who have had previous experience in this role. This role is a mixture of laundry and housekeeping in our Merrylands facility and hours of work are 7am to 1:30pm Monday to Friday

**As a Support Service Employee your duties will include but not be limited to**:

- Assist with full range of domestic duties
- Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
- Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors
- Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals
- Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary
- Wet dust all picture frames and wall ornaments
- Wet wipe and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
- Wipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance.
- Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen

Previous experience in a similar role within aged care/hospitals is desirable

Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal

Ability to manage and prioritise work tasks in a timely manner

Genuine enthusiasm, care and compassion in your commitment to working with elderly people
