We are seeking a **FEMALE**Disability Support Worker located or **willing to drive or located near MERRYLANDS, NSW**to join our team

This support worker must be a mum or have extensive experience in looking after a newborn as our client will need assistance when looking after their child. The support will be provided to the client who will also be caring for their baby at the same time. The client has a mild intellectual disability.

**Job Purpose**

As a Disability Support Worker, you will use your enthusiasm and experience to support independence for people with disability in all aspects of life.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Great attention to detail**:This particular client has a very rare condition that requires the support worker to have high attention to detail
- **Personal Care**: help clients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. They may also assist with mobility aids and equipment.
- **Medication Management**: some clients may require assistance with medication administration and ensure that clients take their prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- **Meal Preparation**:plan and prepare meals for clients, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or special diets.
- **Household Tasks**: assist with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment for clients.
- **Transportation**:help clients with transportation, such as driving them to appointments, activities, or social outings.
- **Emotional and Social Support**: provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities and conversations that promote social and emotional well-being.
- **Assistive Devices**: assist clients in using various assistive devices like wheelchairs, hearing aids, communication devices, or prosthetic limbs.

**Essential Criteria**
- Certificate III in Individual Support/Higher or other relevant qualification (preferably but not mandatory)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Driver's License (mandatory)
- A car
- NDIS Workers Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Police Clearance Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Empathetic Personality
- Personal and Professional Integrity
