Caring Approach is seeking a Casual Accounts Officer for processing end to end accounts payables, accounts receivable, package payment administration & reconciliation, utilities contracts, end of month tasks and other duties as required. The role will work closely with our Finance & Plan Manager teams to provide end to end finance support, services and deliverables to management and staff within the organisation so experience with NDIS and MAC funding schemes is desirable. Initially the role will be a casual contract with the work to reflect changing business needs.

**Tasks include**:
- Operate the accounting package MYOB and ensure its accuracy in terms of transactions posted at an account and cost center code level and GST codes
- Process accounts payable & receivable invoices including staff reimbursements and review and verify for payments
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of supplier statements and verify that all invoices and credits are accounted for
- Data input of fixed asset purchases
- Effectively liaise with internal staff and respond promptly to queries from other departments
- Respond to all designated suppliers' queries
- Assist with month end and year end closing and reporting
- Manage and update direct debit payments in relation to regular payments
- Manage petty cash by ensuring reimbursements are made in a timely manner, reconciled monthly and expenses recorded accurately and on a timely basis
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business/Commerce would also be desirable
- At least 1-2 years’ experience undertaking a similar role
- Experience using MYOB or other accounting packages such as XERO
- Be extremely accurate
- Have a positive attitude, flexible approach, and willingness to learn, develop, achieve and contribute to the team
- Demonstrated ability to be solutions focused
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Be reliable & punctual.
- Ability to speak another language is highly desirable
- The ability to problem solve
- Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types
- Ability to read and interpret financial information
- Have appropriate visa to work in Australia
- Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- Working with Children Check (WCCC)
