An exciting position is on offer for an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the field harvest and production facility activities at Schreurs and Sons.

Established in 1963, Schreurs & Sons is a family owned and operated market garden. Specializing in the production of celery, leek and baby leaf. The produce is supplied throughout Australia, the Middle East and S.E. Asia.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the field harvest and production facility activities, with a key focus on compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct, OH&S and Food Safety & Quality policies
- You are responsible for the People, Plant, Process, Product, Documentation, Reporting and Continuous Improvement for the company
- Setting and managing KPIs for the teams, ensuring operations are carried out in a cost-effective way and are continuously being improved upon
- Ensure that the company’s processes remain legally compliant on all sites
- Procure materials in a cost-effective way, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Manage budgets and forecasts, and examine financial data to assist with continuous improvement activities
- Drive a quality culture within the business and ensuring that product sent out to the customer complies with specification and all legal requirements
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Ensuring that the Production Department can fulfil the orders within required time frames ensuring DIFOT (Delivery in Full on Time)
- Contactable after hours for emergency support
- Champion the company’s Core Values

**Skills and Core Requirements**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant Business Degrees and similar experience
- Spoken fluency in another key worker language such as Vietnamese, Thai, Khmer, Albanian or Indonesian would be advantageous
- Data entry and processing skills
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of quality assurance principles, OH&S and Ethical standards
- Conflict resolution
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office product is required
- Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred
