Postal Transport Coordinator

We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride. **About the opportunity** Assist with the management the operations of a shift including work scheduling, resource allocation, staff management and customer relationships. **You’ll also** - Allocate vehicles in accordance with defined schedules. - Coordinate additional customer pick ups, stock and ULD deliveries - Use Despatch Master to allocate work and customer collections - Provide assistance to ensure recovery activities are initiated in the event of breakdowns, accidents or other events, which impact on service delivery. - Pro-actively identify and report opportunities for improved customer service. - Ability to maintain and input data into transport system data bases, and provide reports - Deal with breaches to Australia Post policies, procedures and behavioural issues as they occur. - Maintain a safe working environment and enforce the organisations objectives in OH&S. - Assist where required in safety investigations and observations **About you** **You’ll also need** - Ability to build and maintain co-operative relationships with customers - Same Day time-critical Courier despatching experience >2yr - Proficiency in Courier Transport Scheduling Systems - Despatch Master - Comprehensive understanding on NSW Courier Contract Determination - Detailed knowledge of B2B AND B2C Courier market & service requirements - Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve workplace conflicts. - Ability to influence and facilitate change. - Ability to building effective working relationships. - Demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to effectively manage and develop people and teams - Demonstrated knowledge of transport operations management - Self-Awareness & Continuous Learning - Well-developed oral and written communications skills. **How we’ll deliver for you** - Collaborative team environment - Strong Career development and mentorship - Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued and can bring their authentic self to work every day **We’re delivering together** At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
