**An exciting fulltime opportunity exists to join our Underwriting team as an Underwriter Tele-interviewer **We now have a permanent and a 12-month fixed term vacancy**

**About the role**

Key accountabilities will include:

- Complete telephone interview requests with insurance applicants as required
- Gather and compile member information in line with established business guidelines
- Assist the Underwriters by gathering medical and non-medical risk assessment information

**About you**

You are a team player and perform at your best in a busy work environment. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and utilise medical and/or underwriting experience to gather essential member information professionally and efficiently. You possess a high level of empathy and work with integrity to deal with any concerns on the part of our members. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following:

- Proven experience in a medical and/or underwriting profession essential
- Well-developed organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage tasks to meet agreed service standards
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection
- Committed to continuous learning and improvement
- Ability to learn quickly and on-the-job
