**YOUR ROLE**

We are seeking a Network and Infrastructure Manager experienced with Microsoft Azure to support our enterprise data, voice, and wireless and network security infrastructure by managing and sometimes developing secure enterprise local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization.

You will also participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network and security hardware, software, and communication links.

A part of the role will be analysing and resolving hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion as well as providing end-user training where required.

Key responsibilities include:

- Design, deploy, and maintain complex network and security solutions to meet basic or advanced business requirements and/or improve overall performance
- Configure, support, and maintain routers, switches, network appliances, firewalls, concentrators, wireless LAN, LTE WAN, and other communication devices
- Deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, UPS, and other applicable hardware
- Develop, implement, and maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, configuration, usage, network mapping, and disaster recovery
- Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Perform scheduled (e.g. Annual/monthly) reviews of infrastructure and provide best practice remediation or actions to remediate e.g. checking firmware updates, disk or resource, End-Of-Life,
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation within industry recognized standards of performance, quality, and effectiveness while fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed, remediating issues professionally and concisely
- Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network appliances

**ABOUT YOU**

Other requirements are:

- Minimum of 6-8 years of increasing responsibilities in a networking/telecommunications function of an IT organization
- Highly desirable to possess networking qualifications but proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDWAN implementation is a must
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
- Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network operating systems, VMWare Velocloud SD-Wan, Juniper Switching and Cisco Meraki, Aruba, and software defined WAN technologies (VMWare Velocloud SD-Wan)
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards
- Working technical knowledge of current network monitoring tools and techniques
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security tools (such as defender XDR, threat protection, identity management, and data loss prevention) and any experience with Azure network infrastructure
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- On-call availability
- 25% travel potential
