About the job

Are you seeking a new opportunity with work-life balance and the ability to go home every night? Our business is currently looking for a motivational leader who can inspire change and make a difference at our Kwinana Refinery This is a permanent position working on a 12-hour roster (2 days, 2 nights, 5 off).

We are searching for a frontline leader to compliment and complete the Residue operations team. In this key leadership role, you will coach and mentor others to reach their full potential, developing and upholding very high standards of process, production, maintenance, and earthworks practices and guiding the team to achieve its goals in all areas of the business.

Acting as a help chain to your team and contractors, problem solving maintenance and construction issues will be highly regarded. We want you to assist team members implement suggestion scheme ideas, sustain business system improvements, driving planned and unplanned mechanical work and the auditing of standardised work practices.

One of the challenges, but also the rewards of the role is the variety and scope of work as part of the core responsibilities. Collaborating closely with Civil Contractor to achieve daily Sand and Mud deposition targets and maintain Environmental operational compliance, as well as the site planner, civil engineer and contractor and operations workforce and providing root cause analysis participation in investigations is imperative.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Trade or Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Piping or Civil Earthworks required, Mining or Construction experience is crucial,- dedication to a positive safety culture, awareness of the operating environment,- Highly developed team leadership and experience in implementing and leading change initiatives across maintenance and production is required,- Solid problem solving, decision-making and communication skills, have plenty of initiative and self-motivation to excel in working with mínimal direction,- Proficient in MS Office is crucial.
