We operate from our manufacturing facility in Kwinana, 40 minutes south of Perth.

**About the role**
- Supervise workshop operations: manage day-to-day operations of the fabrication workshop, including work assignments, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of fabricators, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all fabricated products meet the required quality standards by conducting regular inspections, implementing quality control measures, and addressing any non-conformances. Ensure continued compliance with AS 5131 - CC2 quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Work Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and prioritise fabrication projects, allocate resources, and coordinate workflow to meet project deadlines.
- Equipment and Resource Management: Maintain and monitor workshop equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure they are in good working condition. Coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed, and manage inventory levels.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all workshop activities adhere to established safety guidelines and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and provide training on safe work practices, including regular toolbox talks.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and productivity improvement within the fabrication workshop. Implement and monitor changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and other relevant data. Generate reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and resource utilisation.

**About you**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in fabrication and workshop operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Solid understanding of quality control principles and experience with implementing quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
**Salary**: $43.00 per hour
