The Role

We are seeking a Team Leader - Urban Communities (design engineer or project engineer), with proven experience of managing teams and delivering on urban/land development projects across the industry. This role will be based out of our Canberra office.

Some of the projects you will be working on include:

- Southern Memorial Park Stage 1 - Canberra’s first bushland memorial park
- Berridale and Kalkite Planning and Infrastructure Studies
- Polo Flat Master Plan and Revitalisation Strategy
- Various commercial and residential projects for private developer clients in NSW and ACT
- Molonglo 3 East Strategic Design
- Advisory and master planning work for industrial and residential areas

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and leadership guidance across the team's portfolio.
- Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality.
- Effective management and leadership of the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
- Growth of the team through targeted client relationship management and business development activity.
- Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team's components of the plan.

About You
- Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years’ relevant urban/land development design and project management experience.
- Experience in the co-ordination, design, and delivery of urban based projects within multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to train junior employees.
- Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and prepare proposals for a range of projects.
- A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
