**About our opportunity
**The Paralegal within our Australian Unity Trustees Legal Services business is an integral part of our Wealth & Capital Markets pillar of our business. You’ll successfully provide high quality paralegal support within the incorporated legal practice by means of liaising with clients and attending customer-centric meetings, drafting documentation such as wills, powers of attorney, and file notes. Reviewing legal documentation and providing general administrative support for the Victorian Legal team is also critical to succeeding in this role.
This is a pivotal role that demands exceptional time management and organisational skills, an eye for detail and respect of confidentiality, a proactive and flexible attitude and ability to work autonomously in a stakeholder-dynamic environment. Additionally, your ability to quickly build strong professional relationships are crucial in your day-to-day.
**What you will deliver**
- Liaising with client to arrange initial meeting, drafting of documentation including standard wills, wills incorporating testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney, trust deeds, correspondence and related material, obtaining peer review, confirming instructions, finalising documentation, arranging signing meeting, finalising file and archiving file organisations.
- Develop and maintain appropriate high level working relationships with financial advisers (both employee and independent) for referral of new matters
- Partner and collaborate across functions to deliver on key strategic initiatives and drive customer obsession.
- Manage people processes, risk management frameworks, and your responsible workforce resources, including assisting with the effective management of FTE budgets.
**About you**

Additionally, we are looking for:
- Relevant experience as a paralegal or 3 or more years relevant experience as a legal administration assistant in a private practice or a corporate environment in areas set out in position dimensions section above;
- Wills and estates, preferably estate planning and estate administration, experience preferred
- General legal experience in property, commercial and/or related law required
