**About the role**:
It is an exciting time to be part of the energy industry and especially at Powerlink, as we help shape the renewable energy transformation in Queensland and Australia. There is significant change occurring at Powerlink and your role will provide a vital link between our organisation and the Queensland Government.
The Policy and Government Relations Advisor is responsible for evaluating and advising on energy related policies and implementing contemporary and sound government affairs approaches that support Powerlink’s purpose and business strategy. You will play a proactive role in liaising with a range of stakeholders.
You will be required to respond to policy proposals, departmental, legislative, regulatory and political issues affecting the organisation.. You will be required to effectively communicate and respond rapidly with documents, briefs, Q&A and other materials, as required.

**About you**:
You have a passion for public policy and a commitment to driving positive change through effective engagement and communication. With a degree or similar qualification in policy, communications, public relations or another relevant field, you have strong exposure to government and political operations, and a well-developed understanding of how to effectively liaise and communicate with a range of government and internal stakeholders, from your teammates through to the Chief Executive.
