Job Description Summary
The Works Management team are seeking a Works Management Officer to provide support to business activities, with a strong focus on reporting, in the ongoing work management carried out in Distribution Services. The incumbent will be working closely with both internal and key client personnel to ensure all data is measured and reported on accurately, with an emphasis on data integrity and providing regular reporting on all work activities; including complaints open work/WIP, KPIs and the monthly dashboards and reports.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Works Management Officer to join our Clayton team
The Works Management Officer will provide support to business activities, with a strong focus on reporting, in the ongoing work management carried out in Distribution Services. The incumbent will be working closely with both internal and key client personnel to ensure all data is measured and reported on accurately, with an emphasis on data integrity and providing regular reporting on all work activities; including complaints, open work/WIP, KPIs and the monthly dashboards and reports.
- Responsible for the compilation and publishing of accurate data from multiple systems;
- Develop and revise reporting to support Distribution Services operations, management and effective KPI adherence; ensure relevant KPI’s are measured and represented in the reporting data in a meaningful format;
- Develop and maintain scheduling, progress and performance management system;
- Prepare on a regular basis updated schedules and reports reflecting the progress, performance and highlight jobs at risk of exceeding their contractual KPIs;
- Effectively present the data from multiple systems in a range of periodic and cyclical reports and dashboards, including but not limited to, Daily and Monthly reports, Dashboard and Client reports
- Complaints management, use client systems to manage end to end complaints with in client time frames.
- Analyse work history data and provide recommendations for consideration in works management;
- Proactively identify, interpret and highlight risk to works and initiate action to prevent problems from occurring;
- Actively monitor and support Jeopardy Management to support the effective delivery of works.
- Strategically analyse work to minimise lost time and maximise time spent in the field by field staff
- Identify, address and escalate repeat attendances and formulate tailored strategies and solutions in collaboration with Supervisors and Management.
- To ensure the reporting functions are delivered in the most effective manner, the role will develop close relationships with relevant stakeholders including internal peers, people leaders and other relevant contacts; including external stakeholders
- Be proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline data capture and process improvements through technology automation and/or process change.
What do you bring?
In addition to the above, we require an individual with;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience communicating at any level
- Sound knowledge of the Gas Distribution industry and or Utilities environment
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, including field staff
- Power BI/Tableau (or similar) experience favourable
- Intermediate SAP exposure and experience
- Proven track record in managing within a KPI driven contract and identifying and acting on opportunities to maximise value for clients and driving productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ability to develop a relationship with the client to facilitate management and support issues
