**About the role**:
- you will be responsible for protecting our beautiful area to ensure the community, environment and our animals are kept safe
- a balance between working in the field and completing professional reports in the office
- responds to a range of compliance related issues, including offences that you will investigate under relevant laws and take enforcement action when required
- works as part of a small team in a mobile role that sees you enforce and regulate compliance for areas relating to animal control, noise complaints, illegal camping, beach vehicle use, abandoned vehicles, overgrown land, illegal dumping and public reserves
- daily interaction with the public, requiring strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- interact with the public in a regulatory environment, providing education, completing investigation reports and taking enforcement action as required.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- experience in the humane care of animals and effective animal handling techniques including the capture of livestock, cats and aggressive or dangerous dogs
- certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services), or equivalent, or certificate/degree in relevant field, or completion of 12 month police preparation course
- experience in the gathering of evidence, effective interviewing and statement taking abilities and the preparation of a range of reports including investigation reports and briefs of evidence
- current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence

- a base salary ranging from $1,282.38 per week with competency-based increments up to $1,505.56 per week, plus 10.5% super
- 2 roles, 1 x permanent, 1 x 6 month contract
