Contract Building Surveying position now available in Council, part time, excellent hourly rate, South/East

**Your new company**
A South/ Eastern Municipality made up of 11 suburbs and known for an excellent team culture and mentorship is seeking an Unlimited and Registered Building Surveyor to join in an immediate term on a part time basis to assist the MBS and wider team. You will integrate into a proactive team who appreciate a sense of humour and enjoy continuous learning and development. Working on a range of cladding, enforcement, report and consents and ESM audits, this is a contract position of 3-months with potential to extend on. You will require current Victorian Unlimited Registration and demonstrated building surveying experience.

**Your new role**
In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Managing a number of cladding files and related safety issues, inspections and providing advice when required
- Swimming pool barriers and stand-alone ESM audits
- Administering building legislation and Council policy
- Assessing and approving building permits
- Monitoring and guiding some junior staff members

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed, you will require:

- A Bachelor of Building Surveying
- Victorian Building Practitioner Board Registration
- Unlimited
- Demonstrated practical experience as a Building Surveyor carrying out advanced construction inspections
- Government
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of community members and varying stakeholders
