Take the next step in your career development and become a valued member of the Office of the State Building Surveyor.
In your new position as the Municipal Building Surveyor (VBA delegate) you will lead a small team of technical experts to initially undertake cladding inspections and reports for your first 12 months, which will then lead to progress into the greater OSBS team to provide highly specialised technical advice on other special projects across the VBA.
To be considered for this position you will have current Registration as a Building Surveyor (unlimited), advanced knowledge of building industry, codes, regulations, standards, commercial building construction, fire safety and construction practices in Australia.

**What we are looking for**:

- High level experience in managing teams and resources including associated budgets and developing the capability of the team through ongoing performance planning and management, coaching, feedback and participation in development objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt style according to audience needs and build stakeholder relations, including negotiating, liaising, and influencing to reach shared consensus or achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide robust, defensible advice, ministerial briefings and a range of complex documentation.
