Supporting Disabilities Australia is currently seeking experienced Disability and Mental Health as well as Complex Support workers to provide care and support to vulnerable members of our community.
Your role will involve providing assistance with all aspects of daily living including meals, personal/hygiene care, and meaningful engagement within home and community environments.
About You
If you are an active, fun-loving, optimistic individual who is passionate about helping people to manage their own lifestyles and live the life they choose and ideally you have experience with supporting individuals to meet their goals, we want to hear from you.
Our minimum expectations (compulsory, non-negotiable) are:
- 6 months recent practical experience in a relevant, local work environment (e.g. in-home care, nursing or group home, hospital, etc)
- Current work rights in Australia
- Recent employment related references
- Access to a fully insured vehicle and NSW drivers' licence
- Certificate III or above (Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Disability) or willing to get
- Seizure/Epilepsy management & Support
- Stroke Awareness
- Experience with Complex participants
- Medication administration
- Showering
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Cert Of Completion
- NDIS Infection Control Training - COVID 19
- Manual Handling
- High Intensity
- Must have experienced with handling challenging complex behaviours ( requirement)
- Must have experience with Mental Health ( Requirement)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work on a flexible roster, which may include a combination of shifts during days, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift

- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Campbelltown NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
