ERM is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our Site Investigation and Risk Assessment team on a permanent contract, based in on our Canberra office to support the successful delivery of a growing pipeline of local and national projects by:
- Executing environmental assessments involving the collection of field data (soil, groundwater and air);- On-site environmental management including oversight of construction activities for environmental compliance;- Providing inputs into environmental reports;- Supervise field work and subcontractors on site;- Assist with the preparation of client proposals.

Who you are:
- Tertiary education in environmental science, geology or a related degree.- Entry Level to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting, including willingness/ interest in field assignments.- Enthusiastic and driven with the ability to be agile and innovative.- Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health, safety and environment protocols.- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.- Effective written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; experience recording technical data and preparing reports.- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.- Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.- Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus.- Ability to work as a team player.- Experience conducting works on construction sites will be highly regarded.
