**About the Role**
The Team Leader, Placements and Academic Support provides coordination and oversight of the provision of clinical rotations and extramural studies placements for students in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), as well as academic support functions within the Melbourne Veterinary School (MVS).

Responsibilities include:

- Provide overall coordination, planning and quality assurance for the administration of student placements for DVM students, clinical rotations and EMS placements.
- Lead the development of administrative processes by reviewing existing policies, guidelines and procedures; drafting and implementing new policies and procedures where required.
- Provide leadership, support and advice to other members of the Placements and Academic Support Team and professional staff at the affiliated clinical sites.
- Provide high level advice and guidance to staff in relation clinical placement policy and process. Maintain a high-level awareness of changes to accreditation and University policy and procedure and provide recommendations on policy change and process improvement.

**About You**
You are a highly enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a team. You will have excellent planning and organisational skills that will allow for effective time management to meet competing demands.

You will also have:

- A tertiary degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Demonstrated experience in project or process management, with the ability to deliver outcomes to deadlines, to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to relate positively and confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders, including direct reports, external partners and students.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
