**About The Role**
Due to the growth of our business and an expanded portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Technician to join our Civil Structures team. As part of the team you will be a key member of the team where your work in civil drafting and design will aim to enhance the team's portfolio of skills and expertise in this area.

**What will I do?**
- Be responsible for undertaking defined drafting tasks under close supervision in order to meet client requirements for the documentation of various civil structures / bridge projects.
- Use a combination of standard and modified drafting methods/techniques in order to solve problems including the use of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and TEKLA
- Ensure that the design quality procedures are applied and drawing products comply with the requirements of the project management plans
- Maintain own professional skill set in line with market/industry standards through training and knowledge building exercises both as provided by Arup and pursued independently.

**What will I bring?**
- Structural drafting experience, with bridge drafting experience preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D and TEKLA preferred
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments.
- Ability to manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Organised and able to effectively prioritise even when demands are significant.
