**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Due to ongoing growth and organisation changes we are now seeking an experienced PRODUCTION SCHEDULER who will be responsible for creating and scheduling job orders for the efficient and effective operations of the production team to execute. The role will ensure that machine utilisation is maximised, and production lead-times are kept to a minimum with orders delivered within the required timeframe
**Core responsibilities**:
- Convert sales orders to production orders and schedule through the various resources ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Ensure BOM, routings and resource cells are accurate in the ERP and scheduling system
- Monitor production, and update order status in the system
- Ensure daily, weekly and future schedules are up to date and job status is communicated to internal stakeholders.
- Work with production team on ensuring jobs are completed in full and on time (JIFOT)
- Check completion rates are being achieved and report on performance
- Advise management when changes to times and material are required.
- Ensure additional stock used on jobs is recorded, issued and costed to the job
- Liaise with relevant manager/department on production issues
- Daily collation of completed production order paperwork
- Communicate opportunities for improvement to eliminate waste within the process and system, continuously improving
- Have a positive, helpful attitude, ability to problem solve conflicting and changing order priorities
**ABOUT YOU**
- 3+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability in implementing and maintaining a production line environment
- Proven negotiating and influencing skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Well-developed skills across the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Familiarity with SAP enterprise resource planning software (desirable)
