The Telecommunications Manager will take a lead role in guiding strategic and business decisions relating to telecommunications technologies which support the delivery of state wide emergency ambulance services, including Triple Zero Telephony and the SA Government Radio Network (SA-GRN).

The incumbent will manage a team of specialist technicians responsible for the implementation of new technologies and maintenance of existing infrastructure within the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).

SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) owns and operates approximately $3.5 million worth of radio and paging terminal equipment for use on the SA Government Radio Network (SA-GRN). The Telecommunications Manager is responsible for providing strategic advice to SA Health in relation to new equipment and ongoing operational support

**Key Responsibilities**:
Manage the team of specialist technicians responsible for implementing new technologies and maintaining existing telecommunications infrastructure within the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).

Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to facilitate immediate response to systems failure and disaster recovery, ensuring the continuity of critical telecommunication systems and services for the EOC.

Monitor, analyse, and evaluate new technologies and opportunities for technical enhancements to the EOC telecommunication operating platforms, leading the planning and management of technological change initiatives.

Provide strategic advice and recommendations to SAAS Executive on EOC and telecommunications technology, including equipment specifications, training development, and alignment with organizational strategic plans.

Develop and deliver training courses and materials to ensure SAAS end-users are proficient in the operation of EOC technology and the SA Government Radio Network (SA-GRN) radio and paging equipment.

Manage budgets, resource allocations, and administration related to the telecommunications function, including the development of business cases, acquisition plans, and policy implementation.
