The Corporate Governance and Legal Team is responsible for embedding good corporate governance and effective support across Monash City Council. The team consists of Insurance and Claims, Corporate Governance, Councilor Support, FOI and Privacy, Legal Services, Operations Management and Information Management.

**About the Position**:
The Coordinator Information Management plays a pivotal role in managing the Council’s business information and data assets. The role is responsible for managing, driving and improving the records management function within Council. The position requires someone with excellent records management experience, good systems experience, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a genuine passion to embed good governance in records and information management through strategy, policy, procedures and training.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Qualifications and experience in leading and working within a records management function
- Experience embedding records management within a complex organisation
- Experience in managing an EDRMS
- Experience in influencing records management within an organisation to achieve corporate and strategic goals and secure good governance in information management
- Leadership experience and proven ability to motivate and empower teams
- Excellent understanding of the Public Records Act, the PROV Standards and contemporary records management practices

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in information management, business administration, or a related field, or demonstrated years of service in the industry, enabling membership to professional associations such as the Records and Information Management Practitioners Alliance (RIMPA) Global
- Experience in leading a records management function, ideally within a government setting
- Experience in developing strategic policies, procedures and frameworks that relate to records and information management
- Experience in managing an EDRMS
- Experience in influencing records management within an organisation to achieve corporate and strategic goals and secure good governance in information management
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
