**The Role**
- Negotiates and executes trades for fixed income managed portfolios.
- Measures the impact of derivative trades on the relevant portfolios. Maintains relationships with security dealers.
- Acts as a back up in investment decision-making function when the portfolio manager is off the desk.
- Authorized to invest cash flows across markets and act as portfolio manager with a lower level of discretion.
- Performs market and risk analysis for senior staff to identify critical data for decision-making. Tracks sector spreads and identifies sector relationships. Interprets risk of new events across a broad sector class.
- Develops, evaluates, and acquires models for analyzing investment strategies and cost analysis for executions. Generates complex performance attribution reports, identifies and resolves issues to produce accurate analyses.
- Responds to fixed income desk inquiries pertaining to bond trading information and bond pricing.
- Performs necessary analysis and relays relevant information to the appropriate portfolio manager for action. Acts as a liaison with outside bond vendors, develops and maintains strategic relationship with security dealers.
- Develops strategies to add value through efficient execution and quantitative research.
- Analyse data and develops trading and portfolio strategies with oversight. Independently generates ideas and research.

**Skills and Experience**
- Expertise managing fixed income portfolios across domestic and international markets (highly desirable).
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics. Post Graduate studies in finance or quantitative disciplines (or equivalent), such as the CFA, are desirable.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment managing stakeholders based in both the US and UK.
- Working knowledge and experience in the use of portfolio analytic systems and standard industry computer technology/software. Specific experience with advanced Excel and Python would be desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, especially at executive management level.
