Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you are joining a unique team As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for a driven Contracts Specialist wanting to join us on our journey. Lynas have begun a $500M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth minerals. In this exciting position, you will be responsible for working with the Engineering, Site based and legal teams across pre and post award activities of major works and services packages to support the Mt Weld Expansion Project. This is a fixed term 12-month contract, based in Perth with occasional site visits as required.

**As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will**:

- Manage the pre award and post award contract process for major works and site service contracts including tendering, commercial evaluation, negotiations, contract award and post award contract management.
- Construct negotiation matrices to understand vendor motivations.
- Analysis of Contractor claims and variations.
- Managing and liaising with legal department regarding all contracts.
- Manage contractor and internal stakeholder relationships and monitor contract performance.
- Develop and implement robust and effective processes, procedures, and systems to improve on Contract efficiency over existing processes.
- Develop, implement, and manage quantity surveying/monitoring/quality assurance function.
- Proactively manage Project Team relationship with Contractors through formal and informal processes and communications.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Extensive contract management experience preferably in mining and resource sector
- Experience in handling major construction contracts within the resources sector
- Commercially savvy and able to optimise commercial value and drive improvements across the value chain.
- A solid understanding of the principles of contracts law, business ethics and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the industry.

**Qualifications and/or Skills**:

- Degree in Engineering or Science related field (desirable)
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask.
