Seeking an experienced and confident Procurement and Contracts Specialist for a State Government team

**Your new company**

A major State Government department based in Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to manage medium to high risk contracts within the Branch. You will be engaged on an initial temporary basis, with view of extension or direct appointment offered to the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, with some flexibility offered including work-from-home.

**Your new role**

As the Contracts Specialist to this particular branch, you will be responsible for managing medium to high risk contracts and developing contract documentation. Your key duties will include:

- Provide specialist contract advice to key stakeholders around policy exemptions contract renewals, variations and extension strategies
- Prepare, format, review and edit contract management plans, ensuring contracts are aligned with government compliance, policies and procedures
- Evaluate, monitor and report contract performance and expenditure
- Consult, negotiate and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- Contribute towards identifying and implementing continuous improvement strategies within the contracts space
- Coordinate and attend key stakeholder meetings

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of Contacts management, ideally within a State Government position. In addition, you will display:

- Demonstrated experience managing medium to high risk/value contracts
- Strong communication skills with confidence in negotiations and providing advise to key stakeholders at senior levels
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Advanced organisation skills and confidence in managing a busy workload with multiple competing deadlines
