ABOUT THE ROLE
This dynamic role requires an adaptable and forward-thinking person who can organise the logistics team and coordinate all transport movements throughout the business to meet production requirements and customer expectations. Problem-solving skills and clear cross-departmental communication skills are critical to the success of this role.
Working closely with the production, marine, procurement and sales teams, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for:
Coordinating all in and out bound oyster deliveries and collection of oysters from farms
Arranging collection of all other deliveries
Day to day management of truck and forklift drivers
Maintain accurate records and compliant documentation
Ensure safe working practices are the centre of your working day
Coordinate rosters and daily/weekly schedules for the logistics team
Assist in oyster processing areas and arranging fulfilment requirements in advance
Maintain logistics budgets, and look to improve supply chain efficiencies
Maintain all production vehicles
Ensure all company trucks and storage areas are kept clean and tidy to a high food service standard in adherence with the AOC HACCP program
Represent the business to the highest professional standards
This is a great opportunity to receive hands-on mentoring to further develop your logistics management skills with a growing vertically integrated Australian oyster business.
Please note that a current Driver Licence is essential for this position. A Forklift Licence, MR/HR licence and First Aid Certificate are an advantage.
