**Position Overview**:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager.

**The role for a Deputy Facility Manager (RN) is a part time role of 4 days a week.**
- The Deputy Facility Manager (RN) supports and assists the Facility Manager in overseeing the facility’s operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care, maintaining standards, and fostering a positive work environment. This role includes being available on-call as needed.- Additionally, the Deputy Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with SCC policies and procedures, applicable standards, relevant legislation and industry best practices.**What We Offer**:

**Experience & Skills**

**Essential**
- Experience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role
- Possession of a current First Aid Certificate
- 5 years’ experience in caring for the aged or health related area
- Good sensitivity to and understanding of the aspirations and needs of the elderly
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Good interpersonal and written English communication skills
- Ability to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged people
- Numeracy skills - reconciliations and statistics
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting

**Desirable**
- Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Facilities
- Sound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work Act
- Leadership or management courses
- AN ACC Training
