**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Global Disability offers work to experienced Disability Support Workers offering work to suit your individual lifestyle and commitment. We have a wide range of shift locations within the Sydney CBD and Sutherland Shire areas. We require staff with a minimum of 12 months of experience caring for clients with Disabilities and Mental Health within Australia. Ideally, a Support worker with youth work experience is a plus. You must also be available to take a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum 12 months disability experience within Australia.
- Can travel towards the various Sydney locations for work.
- Previous experience in behaviour support
- Current first-aid certificate
- Must have a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Must have a current drivers licence
- Capacity to identify and manage risks to ensure safety for all.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and good command of the English language
**DESIRABLE**:
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability
- Challenging Behaviour experience
- Youth work experience
- Medication Management Course
- Epilepsy & Emergency Medication experience
- PEG Certificate
- Child protection training
- Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Knowledge of person-centred planning and active support
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
