**Your new company**
An inner-city Municipality is now seeking a Property Advisor or Senior Property Advisor to join the Property & Assets team on an initial 6-month contract due to increased volume of work available. This local municipality has a strong desire to serve the community and ensure ongoing proactive property management to maintain and manage a variety of unique assets including commercial, community and municipal properties. Experience in reading lease agreements, understanding lease renewal processes, & negotiations is required in line with strong stakeholder engagement skills with a drive and passion to learn.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Providing accurate and timely property advice to community groups regarding leasing, licensing
- Read, interpret, and draft lease agreements
- Managing vacant properties and arranging new tenancies
- Assisting with the proactive management of the property portfolio and negotiating new agreements aligned with Council policy
- Conducting property inspections and regularly liaising with tenants
- Maintaining files and updating systems accordingly

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will require:

- Strong communication & customer service skills are fundamental to ensure the effective management of both internal and external relationships
- Experience with lease agreements in public or private sectors
- A background in property management
- Tertiary qualification in a property or property related field is advantageous.
- A can-do attitude and ability to work in a team & autonomously
