Security Specialist
- 10+ years industry experience with 4+ years in IT Security.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and evaluating complex systems for security.
- Have excellent hands-on expertise in following Firewalls
- Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Cisco ASA/Firepower.
- Manage IPS/IDS systems on a daily basis to update the security policies when required.
- Have excellent hands-on expertise in following Proxies
- Bluecoat, Forcepoint, Zscaler.
- Evaluate and Audit Firewall Policies to make sure those meet Organization Security Standards.
- Design, implement, evaluate IPSEC/SSL VPN to ensure those meet security standards.
- Design, implement and manage Qualys Guard Security Tool.
- Evaluate and take necessary steps to mitigate Networks and Systems for potential vulnerabilities found through Qualysguard.
- Design, implement and evaluate SIEM tools such as Splunk.
- Setup, generate and analyze Alerts, reports in Splunk as required.
- Proficient in Automation and scripting Tools such as Python, Notebooks to analyse Security attacks and threats.
- Designing and evaluating complex systems such as perimeter Networks, DMZ, AWS VPC.
- Audit Network and Systems Security hardening status and take actions for hardening new systems and fixing security hardening of existing systems.
- Aptitude for self-study, setting and achieving long term goals (for example, learning an unfamiliar programming language or technology)
- Ability to effectively assess and communicate risks to project goals and design with appropriate levels of urgency to management and engineering staff.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Lead a team of Security Engineers to perform Security Assurance of computer systems
- Addressing a broad range of strategic security concerns in infrastructure and software engineering designs.
- Keeping up with new technologies for technical expertise and business analysis.
- Addressing challenges in design, business goals, and stakeholder constraints for secure architecture.
- Create, review, and maintain threat models for key components.
- Scope, prioritize and review security assessments and vulnerability research.
- Performing risk assessments of complex systems.
