The Role

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. Immediate start.
- Provide high quality and accurate professional advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, the approval process and management.
- Preparation of Statement of Environmental Effects for Development Applications and Planning Proposals
- Respond efficiently and clearly to internal and external consultants, communicating in a concise and transparent manner, both verbally and written.
- Work independently alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome.
- Negotiate outcomes and represent the client at meetings, including public meetings.
- Support Directors and Planning Manager in maintaining new and existing relationships with clients.
- Provide input into tenders and prepare Fee Proposals for projects.
- Carrying out research including site inspections and other data gathering and analysis activities.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role you will need
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related discipline or field.
- Experience in statutory or strategic planning gained in a consultancy or local government environment.
- Able to prioritise the competing demands of multiple projects within the agreed timeframe.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and engagement with a variety of stakeholders.
- An appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Teams
- Experience with Nearmaps
