**Description**:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Mulpha Hospitality are currently recruiting for a Venue Manager for Sydney’s newest wine bar, Bar Messenger for a short-term contract.
Minutes from the Opera house and Botanic Garden and tucked away in the heritage listed Transport House, Bar Messenger provides a top tier wine list from some of Australia’s best wineries and wine regions, and a small, curated food menu.
This role will oversee a fantastic wine list featuring some of best wines and wine regions (2 Glasses in this year’s Australian Wine List Awards) for a 2-month contract.

**Responsibilities**:
Oversee daily operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences
Lead, train, and motivate our front-of-house team
Manage our exquisite wine selection and beverage menu
Maintain a welcoming and stylish atmosphere for our guests
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting
Approved manager (NSW) licence and RSA
Strong knowledge of wines and a passion for sharing that knowledge with others
A high standard of personal presentation and ability to engage and communicate with your teams and our guests effectively
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
A proactive approach to problem-solving and guest relations
