**About the Role**: The Team Leader Aboriginal Partnerships plays a pivotal role in fostering and strengthening relationships with the Kaurna Miyurna of the Adelaide Plains and other Aboriginal Nation groups. You will support meaningful Aboriginal participation and informed decision-making in natural resource management (NRM) activities within the Green Adelaide Region. This is a readvertised position with the added benefit of a longer-term contract, offering enhanced job security and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in our organisation.

In this leadership role, you will:

- **Provide Expert Advice**: Offer specialist guidance on Aboriginal engagement to ensure authentic and respectful participation in Green Adelaide’s initiatives.
- **Develop and Lead Projects**: Design, implement, and manage projects that promote the active involvement of Aboriginal communities in strategic NRM programs.
- **Collaborate with Stakeholders**: Work closely with government agencies, local organisations, and Aboriginal groups to ensure that Aboriginal perspectives are embedded in the development and execution of Green Adelaide’s Regional Landscape Plan.
- **Focus on Kaurna Miyurna Relationships**: Play a central role in strengthening the relationship with the Kaurna Miyurna, the Native Title holders of the Adelaide Plains, ensuring their voices and knowledge are reflected in natural resource management practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead engagement with Kaurna Miyurna and other Aboriginal groups within the region to ensure culturally respectful and meaningful participation in NRM initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and consultations to gather input and integrate Aboriginal perspectives into policy and planning processes.
- Provide strategic direction on how Aboriginal knowledge and interests can be incorporated into Green Adelaide’s broader goals and the management of regional landscapes.
- Represent Green Adelaide in discussions with Aboriginal groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders regarding NRM activities and initiatives.
- Support the integration of traditional ecological knowledge in environmental management and sustainability programs.

**Contract**:
2 year contract.

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- May be required to participate in Biosecurity emergency response.
- Located at Waymouth Street (or other site by negotiation).
- A current class “C” driver’s licence is essential.
- Some out of hours work required.

**Remuneration**:
ASO6, $98,478 min - $104,165 max p.a.
