The **High Hazard Property Underwriting Manager** is responsible for the execution, strategy and financial performance of the High Hazard Property product. This crucial role also involves managing the national High Hazard Property underwriting team to ensure key financial targets are achieved to drive profitable growth and increase market share.

**Key Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Develop, deliver and execute a cohesive UW plan and service/value proposition to our intermediaries through the execution of the High Hazard Property product strategy
- Emphasize solution-oriented underwriting by excelling in customer service fundamentals, standardizing underwriting practices across the national team, and implementing processes to accurately evaluate and manage opportunities
- Deliver, and continually improve, the High Hazard Property product strategies (including but not limited to, target markets/key brokers, product differentiation, appetite, UW execution strategy, risk engineering, reinsurance, technology, etc)
- Work closely with Distribution to build VSL/High Hazard Property market awareness and strengthen broker relationships to ensure a seamless experience for our intermediaries and mutual clients
- Execute on the go-to-market proposition and distribution strategy for High Hazard Property focusing on existing partners and those with the highest growth potential.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive product training to key broker partners, supported by detailed risk appetite statements, loss bulletins, and other educational materials.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years commercial experience in insurance
- Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio, underwriting, reinsurance and pricing practices
- Ability to develop overall direction for the business area and establish measurable goals by assessing the internal and external opportunities
- Solid understanding of the general insurance industry, an understanding of the external marketplace when delivering to customers and brokers
- Ability to drive accountability and commitment to the achievement of goals by setting goals that are aligned to Suncorp's strategic objectives.
