Located at South Bank, in the heart of Brisbane's Cultural Precinct, Queensland Museum Kurilpa (Kurilpa) is the flagship site. Behind the scenes, QM houses more than 500,000 State Collection items, including representations of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Pacific Indigenous cultures; historical and contemporary objects that represent our growing community, innovations and developments that have helped drive our society and a remarkable biodiversity collection of terrestrial and marine fauna.
About our team
The Partnerships team is responsible for sponsorships, partnerships and stakeholder engagement activities that support the strategic priorities and programs of Queensland Museum (QM).
Our creative and dynamic team is passionate about supporting QM's work to preserve and celebrate the cultural, social and natural heritage of Queensland. Working with government and corporate sector partners, we manage the growth and sustainability of revenue and in-kind support for QM's education, research and community engagement projects and exhibitions.
What you will do
The Development Manager, WSFB/Q will:
Research, develop and implement a broad range of business development initiatives, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, designed to grow in-kind and cash support for the annual World Science Festival Brisbane and World Science Fetsival Queensland.
Nurture and prioritise key stakeholder relationships, leveraging existing networks, knowledge and skills to enhance WSFB's partnerships portfolio.
Coordinate on-time and on-budget delivery of contractual deliverables for community, industry, academic and government partners.
Design and manage partner journeys through the life of the partnership and beyond.
Prepare templated contracts, agreements, C-suite briefs, reports and other corporate documents as required.
Provide advice and guidance to relevant project staff to support delivery of partnership benefits.
Comply with Queensland Museum policies, procedures and appropriate legislation.
Contribute to the safety culture of Queensland Museum by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all Queensland Museum WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
