**About the team**:
The Business Grants Hub and Integrity Division is comprised of three branches:
- Business Grants Hub - Internal Programs Branch
- Business Grants Hub - External Programs Branch
- Integrity Branch
The Business Grants Hub - External Programs Branch works in partnership with other Commonwealth agencies to establish and manage grants programs.
The Business Grants Hub - Internal Programs Branch works with departmental policy partners to develop grant programs that meet policy objectives while taking stakeholder needs, preferences and experiences into account. Grants play a critical role in:
- supporting growth in businesses and industries
- fostering research and innovation
- strengthening communities
- helping the environment
- providing emergency relief
Our teams are geographically dispersed with staff located in every State and Territory capital.
There is a State Manager at each site supported by a Receptionist/Office Manager.
- Have demonstrated operational delivery experience in a challenging environment.
- Enjoy leading staff, working collaboratively, and building partnerships and networks.
- Have excellent communication skills and experience in managing a geographically dispersed team in the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Have demonstrated judgment and integrity to engage constructively with risk, the intellectual ability and personal resilience to positively challenge conventional ways of doing things and the ability to adapt approaches taken to meet program outcomes to a high degree.
- Have a track record of engaging with, listening to and mobilising people to successfully accommodate challenges and achieve beneficial outcomes.
- Model and promote a culture of inclusion and safety and demonstrate empathy in your dealings with people from diverse backgrounds.
**Key competencies**
- Leadership and management skills, including the ability to delegate confidently to meet outcomes in the face of ambiguity and change.

**Experience**
- Significant leadership and management experience in a complex organisation, including a proven track of establishing high performing teams and systems.
- Experience working successfully with external stakeholders.
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly regarded.
**What you will do**:
As a State Manager you will report directly to the General Manager, Business Grants Hub - External Programs Branch, and work with a high level of autonomy under broad direction. In particular, you will:
- Provide assistance with facilities management such as site requirements, maintenance and damage requests, signage, parking availability, work points, offices, meeting room facilities, parking availability (as applicable depending on the site).
- Monitor site occupancy levels and managing availability of offices, work points, meeting rooms and car parks (as applicable depending on the site).
- Respond to requests to work from a site.
- Responsible for site emergency management (such as COVID-19 and natural disasters).
- Representing the site at relevant emergency management or property meetings as required.
- Liaison with sub-tenants if / as required.
- Promote and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency stakeholder), community groups, business sponsors and service providers.
- Develop and manage your staff so they have a shared sense of purpose and can successfully contribute to outcomes of the branch and the division and ongoing improvements.
- Build and maintain a thriving team culture across the entire Brisbane office.
