**ConsultANZ** is actively seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor to join our top-tier client in Sydney on a permanent basis. The role involves providing crucial support to the construction team in all safety matters.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure staff compliance with legislation and safety protocols
- Review procedures for legislative adherence
- Provide expert advice on accident prevention and health management
- Verify subcontractor safety compliance and assess systems against company standards
- Implement site safety initiatives
- Conduct proactive site visits to promote safe practices
- Collaborate on project-specific risk assessments
- Assist construction teams in planning for a consistently safe environment
- Support accident investigations and reporting
- Formulate site-specific emergency response procedures
- Conduct regular HSEQ inspections and provide feedback
- Respond to incidents and near misses promptly
- Report incidents to the HSE Manager within 30 minutes
- Facilitate communication processes, including meetings
- Allocate resources for HSEQ implementation
- Liaise with statutory authorities as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety or related field
- 5+ years' experience as an HSE Advisor
- Preferably worked in Health and Safety on a civil construction or mining site
- Experience with ICAMS
- Effective communication skills for internal and external engagement
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional autonomy with task delegation for timely completion.
