Receptionist - Geelong Physiotherapy (Casual)

We have an opening for an experienced administrator to join our practice team as a Casual Receptionist supporting our Geelong Physiotherapy Clinic in Geelong.
**About us**
Our Geelong Physiotherapy Clinic is located in the thriving Geelong CBD and has provided high quality, effective care for the Greater Geelong community for over 30 years. As part of our team you will work to promote client-centred goals and implementing treatment strategies to assist clients to work towards optimum occupational performance.
**About your role**
You will be the point of welcome to the practice and support quality patient care through high levels of customer service and a professional and friendly approach. You will greet everyone in a welcoming manner whether face-to-face or over the phone. You will manage the appointment system in consultation with doctors, allied health workers and nurses and maintain patient medical records and accounts. You will be responsible for professional communication with patients, clinical staff, colleagues and others involved in patient care. You will hold patient confidentiality in high regard at all times and support broader administration and operational tasks including online systems and records, stationary stocks, practice security and the general tidiness of the practice.
This position is casual with a potential of up to 12 hours per week covering leave and supporting practice needs.
**About You**
You’ll bring the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar administration role inside or outside of a clinical setting
- A high level of professionalism, confidentiality and accountability
- Excellent people skills and communication skills where you build relationships with ease
- Ability to work independently with initiative and productively in a team environment
- Ability to communication with a diverse range of people
- Confidence with MS Office (Word and Excel)
Highly desirable
- Previous experience in the use of clinical software such as Best Practice and Pencat
- An understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule
- An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders
- An understanding or experience in general practice accreditation and standards
