- Posted on 19th December, 2024Wild Cherry School is seeking a passionate and experienced primary school teacher to join our team on a full-time basis for the 2025 academic year. This role is based in Bairnsdale, VIC and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the learning and development of our students.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Providing individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential
- Collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Participating in professional development activities to continuously improve your teaching practice
- Maintaining detailed student records and providing comprehensive feedback to parents/guardians
- Contributing to the broader life of the school community

**What we’re looking for**
- A bachelor’s degree in primary education or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in a Steiner primary school setting, essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents and colleagues
- A passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team

**Key selection criteria**
- Experience in teaching composite classes and artistic, musical, and/or handcraft skills
- Knowledge of Steiner education and the ability to design curriculum programs consistent with their intent.
- Understanding of how students learn and to develop effective classroom teaching strategies and the capacity to monitor and assess student learning needs to inform teaching practice.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, other staff, and the wider school community.
